21 Day Fix Extreme - Day 1

Good morning and Happy Thursday everyone! I wanted to get this post up last night, but just didn't. Ha! So, let's go over my first day on the 21 Day Fix Extreme!!

Of course, every morning starts with some Spark. This is what gets me out the door. It gives me the energy I need to keep up with my two little ones!

Breakfast was 2 eggs (4 pp), 1/4 c. oatmeal (2 pp) and a kiwi.

For my morning snack, I had my new favorite flavor of tuna pack (2pp) and some local strawberries!!

Lunch was a salad with grilled chicken (3pp) with some Bolthouse Salsa Ranch dressing (1 pp).

I felt like I needed something more, so I had a teaspoon of peanut butter (1 pp).

My afternoon snack was some watermelon and 12 almonds (2 pp).

Dinner was my standard that I have to start my week: grilled chicken (4 pp) with some brown rice (3 pp) and steamed broccoli.

The 21 Day Fix Extreme starts the workouts off with Plyo Fix Extreme. The Plyo workouts always get me!!

So there is my first day of the 21 Day Fix Extreme. It's definitely not easy. But I know it will be worth it!

So long for today...

21 Day Fix Extreme - Day 2

It's the weekend guys!!!! Yay!!! Even though the holiday gave us a short week, I'm still so glad it's over and the weekend has come around again!! I'm still plugging along with my 21 Day Fix Extreme. I'm feeling pretty good and hope I can keep up with it. It's already unofficially Summer, so that means bathing suit season is upon us!!

So let's take a look at Day 2 from the 21DFX. Remember, I'm a creature of habit, so some of these things may look familiar...

Of course, I had to seat my day with some Spark!!

Breakfast was eggs (2 pp) with some oatmeal (2 pp) and a kiwi.

I'm still getting in my fluids, which includes some green tea.

My morning snack was another tuna pack (2 pp) and some watermelon.

Lunch was a repeat from Day 1...grilled chicken salad with Bolthoise Farms Salsa Ranch. (4 pp)

Snack 2 was 12 almonds (2 pp) and strawberries.

Dinner was a huge plate of food!! Seriously, you can really pack those veggies into those containers. And as long as the lid goes on, you're good to go! We had turkey tacos. So good and only 7 pp when you add in the salsa ranch I put on top.

I also had my 2 teaspoons of peanut butter. Seriously, I love PB2. But sometimes the real thing is just so much better!!

My workout was the Upper Fix Extreme. I didn't have a huge calorie burn, but my arms were jello afterwards and are still sore today!!

And there you have it. I'm actually starting Day 5 today, but I'll keep posting my progress with you.

I hope you all have a great Saturday. I'm off to make some eggs and oatmeal!

So long for today...

Weekly Menu Plan, Fitness Recap {5/24ish} & My Current Plan of Attack

Well, hello there!! I'm getting this post written extremely late this week because I've been too busy having fun and relaxing with friends and family! Lol! We had Camden's birthday party over the weekend and had such a great time. I think he really enjoyed it, too, which is all that really matters, right?

I've decided to change things up a little bit. I ordered the 21 Day Fix Extreme a couple of weeks ago. I've planned everything out and started it TODAY!! I really want to stick with it 100% and see what kind of results I get. It seems like a great program and I'm excited to see my progress. We finally had a lull in our schedule for the next few weeks, so I think it's a perfect time to give it my all. I'm still going to be counting my points and drinking my Spark and taking my ThermoPlus. So I guess it's kind of a hybrid of a hybrid program. I'm also thinking about doing another 10 day cleanse in the next couple of months. Maybe I should wait until after the 4th of July though. We'll see. I am hoping to do daily recaps of the program for you all.

So here is what I planned for this week:

Menu Plan:
Sunday - Grilled Pork Chops
Monday - Grilled Hamburgers
Tuesday - Grilled Chicken
Wednesday - Turkey Tacos
Thursday - Grilled London Broil
Friday - Grilled Turkey Patties
Saturday - Grilled Chicken

Fitness Recap:
Sunday - 3 mile run
Monday - 21 Day Fix Cardio Fix
Tuesday - 21 Day Fix Dirty 30
Wednesday - Rest
Thursday - 21 Day Fix Plyo Fix
Friday - 3 mile run
Saturday - Rest

I hope you all have a great rest of the week!

So long for today...

Hey friends! I have the time, so I'm bringing you this post on Saturday night. Addison and I had a wonderful day shopping with my sister and niece. It was a beautiful day and I found some really cute shoes that I've been looking for (and some things I wasn't looking for). So I consider it a complete success!

We are getting ready for Camden's birthday party next weekend, so things might be a little hectic this week.

Here's what I have planned:

Menu Plan:
Sunday - Lasagna Cupcakes
Monday - Grilled Honey Lime Chicken
Tuesday - Slow Cooker Jambalaya
Wednesday - Grilled Turkey Burgers
Thursday - Crockpot Cheesy Chicken & Pasta
Friday - Out to Dinner
Saturday - Camden's Birthday Party

I just did ok on my workouts this past week. Apparently, my weekends are becoming me rest times :-(
Sunday - Rest
Monday - 21 Day Fix Total Body Cardio
Tuesday - 21 Day Fix Upper Fix
Wednesday - 21 Day Fix Lower Fix
Thursday - 21 Day Fix Pilates Fix & Ab Fix
Friday - Rest
Saturday - Rest (quick lap swim in the pool)

I'm hoping to keep my eating and exercise in check everyday except for the day of the party. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

So long for today...

Thursday Thoughts {5/14}

Well, hey there everyone! I'm coming at you on a Thursday this week! I'm still waiting for things to slow down around here. Although, I'm not sure that will happen any time soon. I have a lot of random thoughts that I'm going to share with you today. I didn't feel like I could make a full post out of any one of these, so I thought I would just throw them all into one post...

1. I'm getting ready for Camden's 2nd birthday party next week. How is it that my baby is almost 2?!?! Of course, how is it that Addison is 6?!?! I don't want to think about that! We are doing a John Deere theme for his birthday. He has become absolutely OBSESSED with all things John Deere. Whether it's a lawn mower, a tractor (which he still calls a lawn mower) or even something that is green, he loves it! So I'm trying to come up with ideas that I can use for his party. I welcome any and all suggestions.

2. The end of the school year is coming up, too. The kids are getting crazier and crazier. I can't believe that Addison's first year of school is almost over! I'm so grateful that she loves school so much. I've really enjoyed watching her learn this year. She's actually able to read some books to me, which she is pretty proud of. And so am I!!

3. I'm getting a little frustrated with my running (or lack of). Since we've moved, I haven't had my normal subdivision to run in. Now, when I run, I have to run a short distance down a busy highway, which I'm really not thrilled about. I don't like to have to drive to run, so my running has really taken a back seat to my other workouts and I'm definitely noticing it in my legs.

4. I'm getting ready to start the 21 Day Fix Extreme program. It's another Beachbody program. I really liked the first 21 Day Fix and I'm really looking forward to getting started on this new one. I'm not a coach anymore, but if you think you're interested in getting the program, let me know and I can get you in touch with my sweet coach.

5. I have become an Advocare distributor. Not because I want to start a business selling their products, but because I wanted the discount! I really like a lot of their products and found myself buying them pretty frequently. I'm all about saving money in the long run, so I decided to sign up for a distributor membership. If you'd like more information on their products, either check out my website or shoot me an email and I'll be happy to help you out.

Ok, let's leave it at 5. I have a lot more random thoughts I could share, but I'll save those for another day.

I hope you have a wonderful day!

So long for today...

Weekly Meal Plan {5/10}

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you've all had a great weekend and have told your mother how much she means to you! We had a wonderful weekend camping at a local state park that is also on a beautiful beach. It's really hard to get a reservation and I lucked out a few weeks ago when I was looking for one. I'm thinking that there was a cancellation or something. Whatever the reason, their loss was our gain. The park was absolutely beautiful and we will definitely be going back again (hopefully soon!!). We had some much needed relaxation after the whirlwind couple of months we have had.

After some disastrous eating over the weekend, I'm trying to change things up this week with my eating and go back to what I know. I'm going back to plain Jane Weight Watcher Points Plus and not worrying about tracking my macros. It worked for me before and I'm hoping it will again! Here's what I have planned:

Sunday - Crockpot Pork Roast
Monday - Grilled Turkey Patties
Tuesday - Chicken Cordon Bleu Cupcakes
Wednesday - One Pot Chili Mac n Cheese
Thursday - Slow Cooker Jambalaya
Friday - Lasagna Cupcakes
Saturday - Leftovers/Contingency Day

I started the week strong with my workouts, but ended up slacking while we were camping. Although, I did get over 15,000 steps in on Friday and over 20,000 steps on Saturday. That counts for something, right?!

I hope you all have a great week!

So long for today...
