Five for Friday {3/18}

Happy Fri-YAY!!!! I'm so excited we made it to another weekend! This week honestly hasn't been all that bad, but it did seem to draaaaaaaag out for so long. Of course, it was a busy one and I'm so happy that it's just about over and we can get on with the weekend!! Yay!!

1. My newest obsession is this Eagle Cam. It's on an eagle's next in the National Arboretum in Washington DC. There are two eggs in the nest and one started hatching on Wednesday. I actually got to watch the last part of the hatching earlier this morning. Nature is so amazing!!

2. New flavors of Spark! Advocare just came out with the newest flavor of Spark on Wednesday...Limeade. I can't wait to try mine. It's limited edition though, so if you want some, order it soon! I'm looking forward to mixing this with Key Lime Rehydrate or Cherry Spark and making some slushies this Summer. YUM!!!

3. 8 Days - We are 8 days away from our cruise. I CANNOT WAIT!!! (Obviously this picture was from yesterday) We're going to some new places and I'm excited to explore them, plus, my sister and niece are going. We're going to have so much fun!! I'm pretty excited about their "Seuss at Sea" program. This is the first cruise we've been on that has it. There are tons of Dr. Seuss themed events going on including a Green Eggs and Ham Brunch, character parades, story time and so much more! Does anyone have experience with this program? I'd love to hear your opinions!

4. My new coffee table - I told TC that I would like a new coffee table to go with our new couch...and you know what he did?!?! He made me one. I'm in love with it. It's pretty nice being married to such a talented man!

5. This oil blend - The pollen is in full force down here. Everything is yellow. Even the horizon and bottoms of the clouds have a yellow tint to them. This oil blend has been my saving grace. It's so nice to have found a way to fight back against those allergies without having to use medication.

I hope you all have a great weekend. We have some friends from PA that came into town last night. We'll be spending the weekend camping in my parent's driveway so we can spend as much time with them as possible. Addison is so excited to spend extra time with them. She has her stack of books ready that she's going to read to "Bucky."

So long for today...

Banana Oat Pancakes

Well, hey there!! I'm pretty excited that I'm getting a recipe posted on here. I really miss posting a ton of recipes for all of you, but for some reason, life just seems crazy busy lately. I guess it all started the day Camden was born. Haha!!

I love breakfast. I didn't used to eat it, but seriously can't miss it anymore. Doing the challenge, it was sometimes hard to find challenge-friendly ideas that the whole family loved. My friend Angela introduced me to these pancakes. I have no idea where the original post for these came from, so I apologize for that. But, you need to try these. It's a great way to use up some old bananas, too!!

1 very ripe banana
1/2 - 3/4 c. Old fashioned oats
2 eggs

Combine all ingredients and blend in blender. Cook as you would pancakes.

Sometimes, I also like to add a splash of vanila and maybe a dash or two of cinnamon. It just helps to make them a little bit yummier.

I'm so excited that today is my Thur-Friday. We've been having such beautiful weather and this girl has a bad case of Spring Fever. I have a few things going on tomorrow, then we are going a couple of towns away to spend the night before my race on Saturday. I can't wait!!

I hope you all have a great day!

So long for today...

Weekly Menu Plan & Fitness Recap {3/6}

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you're having as fantastic of a weekend as we are! Today was such a great day! It started off pretty chilly, but the sun was bright and it warmed up (enough for a run) pretty quickly. I was able to get a 5 mile run in and felt pretty good. My muscles were pretty sore after the strength training that I did this past week, so it felt good to be able to get out and get a run in. It took a little while to get those legs warmed up, but I didn't mind.

After the run, we started working on some outside home improvement. Since we moved into the house almost a year and a half ago, we haven't taken the time to clean up the landscaping in front of the house. It took a while and lots of effort, but we got it done. It looks so much better than it did before. I'm so glad we finally got it done!

I'm starting the "Lean in 13" program on Monday. It uses Advocare products, but it isn't promoted by AdvoCare. Instead it was developed by a distributor that is also a registered dietician. I'm looking forward to reving up my metabolism and hopefully toning those muscles!

Here's what I have planned for the week:

Menu Plan:
Sunday - Baked Crescent Chicken
Monday - Grilled Turkey Patties
Tuesday - Salsa Verde Chicken Tacos
Wednesday - Grilled Pork Chops
Thursday - Leftovers
Friday - Grilled Swai
Saturday - Grilled Hamburgers

Fitness Recap:
Sunday - 6.2 mile run
Monday - Rest Day
Tuesday - LoveFit Chest & Triceps
Wednesday - LiveFit Back & Biceps
Thursday - LiveFit Legs
Friday - LiveFit Shoulders & Abs
Saturday - 5 mile run

I'm still loving this LiveFit Program that I've been following. Things change up this week. I'm excited and nervous at the same time! Lol!

I hope you all have a great week!
