Thankful Thursday {6/9}

Good morning! Happy Thursday everyone!! We've made it over the hump and are sliding into the weekend. Can you feel it?! I'm loving with a Summer mentality these days. Let's just get these work days over with so we can move on to the weekend fun!! The temps are on the rise in the South and our weekend is looking nice!! Perfect beach weather!!

Yesterday, Advocare absolutely made.my.day!! They brought back Limeade Spark!!
My favorite flavor used to be Fruit Punch. Until March. That's when they released Limeade as a limited edition. You guys, it sold out in less than a week!!! That was crazy! Apparently, I wasn't the only one that loves it. (Glad I stocked up when I did!!) Well, fast forward to yesterday when they made an announcement that Limeade was BACK permanently!! It's only available in a canister right now, but the on-the-go sticks will be available in July. This is what gets me through my 4:30 AM workouts and helps me with adulting after long nights with the kiddos!

So, today, I am thankful that Advocare listened to everyone and brought this flavor back for us. I love to send samples, so if you're interested in:

Weekly Menu Plan & Fitness Recap {2/7ish}

I can't believe I'm so late getting this posted. Life has been super busy lately...all good things though :-) I went to a ladies AdvoCare event last Thursday. The speaker was Dr. Ajia Brameus from the science and medical board. She was so informative. I could have listened to her talk for hours. I love that Advocare is all about informing people about not only their products, but health in general.

It's going to be a (relatively) cold week this week. It's a good thing I have soup planned for a couple of days!!  Since it's going to be chilly, my running will have to be put on the back burner. I am a Southernized Yankee and I don't like running in the cold!! People always think this is funny, but I never ran until after I loved South.

Here's what I have planned for the week:

Menu Plan:
Sunday - Super Bowl Fare
Monday - Chicken Stir Fry
Tuesday - Tacos
Wednesday - Crockpot Chicken Parmesan
Thursday - Slow Cooker Chicken Fajita Soup
Friday - Homemade Pizza
Saturday - Sausage & Bean Soup w/ Pasta

Fitness Recap:
Sunday - 5 mile run
Monday - 21 DF Upper Fix
Tuesday - Rest Day
Wednesday - 21 DF Lower Fix
Thursday - 21 DF Total Body Cardio Fix
Friday - 21 DF Yoga Fix
Saturday - 21 DF Cardio Fix

I hope you all have a great week!

Weekly Menu Plan & Fitness Recap {1/24}

Hey there!! I really meant to get another post up before today, but it was a crazy week (again). The last day of the cleanse phase was on Wednesday and I'm so happy to report that I was down 5 lbs and 6.5 inches! Woohoo!! I also peaked at the scale today and am only 1.2 lbs away from goal. This is the lowest I've been since before I had Camden. Can I still call it my baby weight if my baby is a toddler? I don't care, I'm doing it anyway!! Haha!! There's more good news, too! Because everyone is havig amazing results, Advocare has decided to have round 2 of the 2016 All In 24 Day Challenge and is offering it again to those that didn't jump in with the more than 128,000 of us that started on January 11th.
So, if you missed it the first time, here is your chance to feel just as incredible as the rest of us do! Contact me to order your challenge.

Menu Plan:
Sunday - Lemon & Rosemary Roasted Chicken & Vegetables
Monday - Crockpot Balsamic Chicken
Tuesday - Turkey Meatloaf Muffins
Wednesday - Crockpot Roast Beef
Thursday - Leftovers
Friday - Chicken Stirfry
Saturday - Summer Spaghetti

Fitness Recap:
Sunday - Rest
Monday - Rest
Tuesday - 21 DF Cardio Fix
Wednesday - 21 DF Upper Fix
Thursday - 21 DF Lower Fix
Friday - 21 DF Dirty 30
Saturday - Rest

I didn't really mean to take that many rest days this past week. But between last weekend's camping and the strep I was diagnosed with this morning, sometimes you have to take it easy.

I hope you all have a great week! I'll try to check back before next week's weekly plan post.

So long for today...

WIAW on the Advocare Cleanse

Hey there! I thought I would do a quick recap of what I've been eating so far on the 10 Day Cleanse. I'm on to day 3 and feeling so great! It's amazing how much better you feel once you start getting all of the processed foods out and the good stuff in!
Every morning starts off with my Catalyst and Spark before my morning workout.

Then, I take my probiotics after I drop Addison off at school.

Breakfast:
I've had the same thing for breakfast the last 2 days. I made some egg cups with ground turkey, peppers and onions and a salt free all-purpose seasoning that I mixed up. I added some steel cut oatmeal made with unsweetened almond/coconut milk and some cinnamon along with my Fiber drink.

Morning Snacks:
For my snacks both days, I had the hard-boiled eggs that I prepped. Monday I added some pineapple to the eggs.

Tuesday, I had some mixed fruit with my hard-boiled eggs.

Lunch:
Lunch was the same for both days. I ate the grilled chicken breast that I made over the weekend along with half of a sweet potato and some asparagus that I had roasted as well.

Afternoon Snacks:
My afternoon snacks were completely different (are you shocked?!):
Monday, I had an apple with some natural (no sugar added) peanut butter sprinkled with some unsweetened coconut.

On Tuesday, I had a Gingerbread AdvoBar (My favorite) with a clementine. Quick and easy!

Dinner:
Dinner Monday was a typical Monday meal for us. Grilled turkey patties, brown rice and broccoli.

On Tuesday, I made some Salsa Chicken in the slow cooker with some no salt added black beans. So easy and delicious. Bonus that the kids like it, too!

I also blended half of a frozen banana with a bit of unsweetened almond/coconut milk for a little something sweet after dinner.

Every night, I take my herbal cleanse tablets before I go to bed with a glass of water to end my day. (I keep forgetting to take a picture of these.)

I'm loving this ALL IN 24 Day Challenge and can't wait to see my results at the end. I had to do a little extra planning with our camping trip coming up this weekend.

In my opinion, the key is to keep it simple. Don't overthink things. Meals and snacks can be pretty easy as long as you plan them out. That is the biggest thing. MEAL PREP and MEAL PLANNING!!! If you get these two things down, your challenge will be easy peasy!

I hope you're all having a great week!

So long for today...

How Will You Reach Your 2016 Goals?

Happy Hump day everyone!! I hope your week is going by quick and painlessly. I'm fortunate to be on vacation from work this week and spending time with my two littles.

We've been staying busy running here and there and trying to de-Christmas the house and clean it at the same time. It's always so much more fun to decorate for a holiday than to in decorate it.

I got a notification just a few minutes ago that my Advocare All In Challenge shipped out yesterday, so I decided it was time to share it all with you. I would LOVE for you all to join us for the first 24 Day Challenge of the year!

This challenge is the perfect was to get rid of that bloat and also drop your holiday weight. I've been eating way too many sweets and treats the last couple of weeks and I'm feeling so sluggish from it. I'm so ready for a fresh start to lose these last few pounds and to look and feel my best! Honestly, since I've started using AdvoCare, I feel like I'm in the best shape of my life.

You can customize your challenge to meet you personal needs. Some people are just looking to lose a few pounds, tone up and gain some energy.

Some people are looking for that life changer that will start them on a path to a healthy lifestyle so they can set good examples for their children.

Maybe you are looking to lose a considerable amount of weight. The 24 Day Challenge is a great way to start your journey towards a healthier you!

I love seeing all of the people that have started with AdvoCare and made a change in their lives.

This challenge is great for men and women. I've seen great results for both.

So, what is the challenge? It starts with a 10 Day (gentle) Cleanse that rids your body of the toxins that have built up.

The second part is the Max Phase where you will fuel your body with the right foods and see amazing results. You eat real food during both phases and never fast or deprive yourself. A lot of people say that they're not used to eating so much food! The average person loses about 8-12 pounds and 10-12 inches. But what is GAINED is even better. The energy you get is incredible. You also get so much motivation and support not only from me, but the entire AdvoCare community. Our goal for this challenge is to get 100,000 people to go ALL IN. We are well on our way to that goal, too!! I've ever know of anyone that regretted doing a challenge, but I do know of some people that have regretted NOT joining one.

So, how are you going to reach your goals this year? I'd love for you to join myself and thousands of others that are taking this step towards a healthier version of ourselves! You can email me at southliveyankee@gmail.com to get signed up or to find out how you can get discounts or you can go ahead and sign up here! I'm also offering my personal meal plan along with recipes to anyone that signs up for the challenge with me. I want to do everything I can to help my challengers to be successful! AND there is a cash prize available to the top challenger in our group. The pot is currently at $85 and increases by $5 for every person that signs up!!

While I absolutely LOVE the holidays, I don't love all of the temptations that come with them. I'm ready to get back on track to eating well and feeling my best. I'd love to help you to do the same!

So long for today...
